10/29/19 Kansas City, MO – CST Industries, Inc. the world’s largest and leading bolted tanks, aluminum dome and specialty cover manufacturer, partners with two industry leading explosion protection companies, Fike Corporation and Conversion Technology, Inc., (CTI) to raise awareness on the new NFPA 652 Combustible Dust Standards.  Earlier this year, the trio of companies co-hosted two free seminars along with the most recently completed educational webinar on dust hazards, design approaches and retrofit issues on storage equipment. The online event was organized to provide continued awareness on combustible dust explosion analysis and solutions to clientele for compliance with new NFPA 652 regulations, which mandates full compliance by 2020.

An outstanding turnout of 303 business professionals registered for the webinar, which was held on Thursday, October 17th. The registrants listened to explanations from CTI’s Brian Edwards, who presented on Combustible Dust Hazard Analyses and NFPA Standards. In addition, material was also presented by Fike Corporation’s Bruce McClelland on Combustible Dust Deflagration Mitigation and NFPA Compliance along with Keith McGuire of CST Industries on Dust Hazards for Storage Systems and Design Criteria and NFPA Influence. All three presenters serve on NFPA committees.
