05/08/20 – Kansas City, MO., USA – CST Industries, Inc. (CST™), the world’s largest and leading bolted storage tank, aluminum dome and specialty cover manufacturer, announces short- and long-term storage solutions for crude oil storage.  CST pioneered the use of bolted steel storage tanks for petroleum applications back in 1893.

With today’s need for immediate storage, CST announces its ability to offer solutions that provide a 3 – 5-week lead time from time of order to delivery on-site with their TecTank™ API-12B tanks.  Available capacities range from 100 to 10,000 barrels with larger non-monogrammed capacity tanks available upon request.

Tim Carpenter, CEO of CST states, “The industry is really scrambling to source viable storage options.  Some oil producers have decided to rent; however, we are hearing that rental prices have crept up.  CST manufactures and sells bolted storage solutions and when it comes to petroleum storage, no other tank manufacturer can compete with the decades of experience and thousands of successful installations of CST.  CST is able to provide crude oil storage solutions with a much smaller footprint than other options and at an economical price.”

The API-12B Specification for storage of production liquids was designed to provide the oil production industry with safe and economical bolted tanks for use in the storage of crude petroleum and other liquids commonly handled and stored by the production segment.  CST was the first certified API-12B Monogrammed tank manufacturer in the world dating back to the 1890s.

Greg Hentschel, Vice President of Engineering at CST states, “Our engineers have a working knowledge of the oil industry and its standards and are well equipped to build the best tank value on the market with the lowest cost-per-unit volume stored.  Our API-12B tanks can be a valuable solution to producers worldwide.”
